Katherine’s practice lies at the intersection of litigation and bankruptcy and restructuring. As a litigator, she represents individuals and businesses of all sizes in an array of disputes before the Delaware District Court, Delaware Bankruptcy Court and Delaware state courts, as well as other courts throughout the country. She has a broad range of experience, including derivative and shareholder actions, breach of contract claims and employment litigation.
Katherine’s experience in bankruptcy court is equally diversified. Her representations include debtors, creditors, creditors’ committees, equity holders, lenders and other parties in interest across a range of industries, including in 363 sales and contested confirmations. Katherine also represents liquidating trustees, avoidance action defendants and assignees in state-level assignments for the benefit of creditors.
In law school, Katherine, who earned the highest grade in seven of her classes, was awarded the George F. Douglas Jr. Memorial Award for excellence in advocacy and the Robert J. and Mary Ellen Landy Award for excellence in ethics and professional responsibility. She spent her final semester working full-time at the Department of Justice Office of Professional Responsibility in Washington, D.C., and was honored as a pro bono advocate at graduation.
