Cole Schotz Announces New Members and Special Counsel

HACKENSACK, NJ – January 4, 2016 – We are pleased to announce that Rab N. Nalavala and Michael R. Yellin have been named members of the firm and Neoma M. Ayala, Jenny R. Flom and Robyn A. Pellegrino have been elevated from associate to special counsel.

Rab Nalavala is a member of the firm’s Real Estate Department and the Real Estate Special Opportunities and Construction Services Groups. Mr. Nalavala has represented major investment banks, private equity companies, REITs and various joint ventures in the acquisition, disposition, development, financing and management of commercial, retail, industrial and residential properties. Mr. Nalavala earned his J.D. from American University, Washington College of Law (American University Law Review), and his B.A. from Wake Forest University.

Michael Yellin is a member of the firm’s Litigation Department and Real Estate Special Opportunities Group. Mr. Yellin’s practice focuses on representing private equity companies, hedge funds, and real estate opportunity funds, as well as lenders, investors, and business owners in connection with the acquisition and sale of distressed properties and debt, partnership disputes, commercial litigation, project development, asset disposition, and judicial foreclosures. Mr. Yellin earned his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law and his B.A. from Muhlenberg College.

Neoma Ayala is part of the firm’s Litigation Department, focusing her practice on employment law and commercial litigation. Ms. Ayala has represented clients in proceedings with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the New York State Department of Human Rights, and has litigated cases under Title VII, the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Ms. Ayala earned her J.D. from Villanova University School of Law and her B.A. from Colgate University.

Jenny Flom practices in the firm’s Litigation Department. Her practice focuses on commercial litigation and estate litigation, including guardianship actions and special needs trust litigation. Ms. Flom earned her J.D. from New England Law - Boston and her B.A. from Rutgers University.

Robyn Pellegrino is part of the firm’s Corporate, Finance & Business Transactions Department. Ms. Pellegrino represents purchasers and sellers in asset and stock sale transactions, as well as borrowers and lenders in asset and real estate based credit facilities, debt acquisitions and divestitures and debt restructurings. Ms. Pellegrino earned her earned her J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law and her B.A. from Seton Hall University.
