Program Description
This program will review  the use of trusts to ensure that assets bequeathed to an individual who struggles with addiction are available to provide for the individual’s care, recovery and benefit in a way that maximizes the likelihood that assets will not be used by the individual for self-destructive behavior.  In addition, the issues to consider in selecting trustees of the trust and possible planning for such individual’s eligibility for government assistance in the case of a co-occurring mental illness will be explored.
