September 22, 2016Attorneys: Wendy F. Klein and Michael R. Yellin

Program Description:
The Federal Arbitration Act (FAA) reflects a liberal federal policy favoring arbitration as a faster and cheaper means of resolving private disputes than through the judicial system. The complexities of the arbitration process, however, can impede the efficiency of arbitration. The program will examine the mechanics of arbitration, including: agreements to arbitrate, commencement of an arbitration, selection of arbitrators, pre-hearing issues, the evidential hearing, and enforcing and challenging an arbitration award. Throughout the presentation, the panel also will provide practical suggestions and insight as to how to obtain expeditious, cost-effective, and optimal results for the client throughout the arbitration process.
